F A Q s

Do I need an accurate birth time to get a reading?

(TL;DR—Yes, it's recommended to double-check against an actual birth certificate.)

For a reading to really be worth the cost? Yes, you do need an accurate birth time. The houses shift on a minute-by-minute basis. The rising sign also changes every hour, and a different rising sign can change the trajectory of an entire chart reading. I recommend verifying your birth info against actual documents, because I cannot tell you how many times mothers have misremembered their children's births. (Trust me. It happens. One client's 8:01pm birth time turned out to be her 8lbs 01oz weight.) Furthermore, predictive techniques rely heavily on accurate birth times because even a small error compounds over time.

What can a reading help me with?

Career, life path, relationships, your repeating patterns, developing your talents, overcoming your obstacles, the best times to plan or launch things, where to move to...almost everything!

What should I expect from a reading?

Your reader should be professional, on-time, communicate well, have a Code of Ethics available should you ask for it, and make you feel like they're taking the opportunity to read for you seriously. Your concerns, questions, and desires should be inquired about and you should feel free to ask questions! You should feel "spoken to" rather than "talked at." Your astrologer also isn't a fortune teller—they shouldn't tell you that distressing things are going to happen or confirm that someone you're dating is "the one." Good astrology goes deeper than that.

Should I book a birth chart, transit, or combined reading?

A birth chart is always a good place to start, but if you would like to take a look at the themes of your upcoming year, then consider a combined reading. (The combined reading is my top seller.)

Which reading makes the best gift?

If you know that your loved one is already a serious astrology enthusiast or is going through a tough time and would benefit knowing their transits and progressions, consider the Birth Chart + Transit Reading. Otherwise, the standalone Birth Chart Reading makes a great overall gift.

How do I prepare for a reading?

Make sure you give yourself the time and the space to be fully present for your reading. Free yourself of distractions just as you would before any other important meeting. (Meeting me is not the important part—it's the topic of YOU that's important.) You may take notes if you'd like, but the readings are recorded to encourage you to be fully present and engaged. Most importantly, keep an open mind and trust that we will be sharing in a safe space!

What might we talk about during a reading?

The readings will delve into your interpersonal patterns, childhood experiences, difficulties from the past, etc. For many clients, their readings may resemble a counseling session from which they, hopefully, can emerge with clarity and self-awareness. Don't be afraid, though—a good reader will make you feel comfortable and empowered to veto any subject.

What should I know before booking a Relationship Reading?

Relationship readings examine relationships thoroughly on both psychological and karmic levels. This is why they are more appropriate for established relationships, not new ones. We will look at how you support each other, your strengths as a couple, your relating styles (love languages), the compatibility of your values and personalities, as well as your potential pitfalls and weaknesses.

We will NOT discuss 1) if someone is your soul mate or "twin flame," 2) if you're meant to be together, or 3) whether or not you'll get/stay married because those questions are disempowering and deterministic. A relationship astrology reading is more about counseling than fortune telling, and a good reading helps you to make your own decisions--it doesn't make them for you.

If you are interested in learning how to best grow and evolve as a couple, then this type of reading is perfect for you. If you primarily want yes/no answers, please consider carefully before booking. Given the counseling approach, I highly recommend having both parties present for maximum value (solo sessions are fine as long as the other party has given their consent).

Can I have a friend present at my reading?

If you've booked a full birth chart or full transit reading, ask yourself if you would have that friend at a therapy session. If the answer is 'no,' then consider doing the reading solo and sharing the recording later if you wish.

Can I get a group reading or a reading with a friend?

However, if you are hoping to do something fun as a group, consider booking an event for a party, or email me to arrange doing special session of mini-readings with your friend as a bonding experience. Events are also available virtually and can accommodate multiple attendees.
